Poverty in Ireland 1837

A decade before the Great Famine, millions of Irish suffered a level of poverty that horrified the rest of Europe. The Hungarian Baron Jozsef Eotvos sought to analyze the reasons why in this remarkable work, published in Hungarian in 1840.
