The Food Chain is a network of relationships between the various species in an ecosystem. Each of these species depends on the others for survival. The food chain is divided into three levels: producers, consumers, and apex predators. Primary consumers are herbivores, and secondary and tertiary consumers are carnivores. The top predator is called the apex predator, and it usually eats meat.
